valentine’s day is just around the corner. And that can only mean one thing: it’s almost Arizona’s birthday! We’ll be busy doing cover-up tattoos of wedding dates and ex names this week at Sentient Tattoo Collective, but we’re hoping to celebrate Arizona’s 108th birthday on February 14th. Where are the Sun Devil fans?! Charles incorporated the Arizona state outline, the Arizona state flag, and Asu’s pitchfork into an Asu tattoo. The trident is carried by Asu’s pet, Sparky, and is accompanied by the phrase “fear the fork.”

The cactus wren is the state bird of arizona. True to its name, the cactus wren inhabits all types of cacti. Ivan depicts this cactus wren perched on a branch in the tattoo.
