eric whitney better known as ghostemane or eric ghoste is an american rapper, singer and songwriter by profession. his idea of rapping and singing revolves around the fusion of elements such as heavy metal, hip hop and industrial music. Furthermore, it is known that he entered the local Florida hardcore punk scene, as he grew up there. Interestingly, he used to work b2b jobs before he got into rap. Eric has a lot of tattoos on his body. let’s explore them.

meaning: the lines are probably from the poem her father used to recite to her. his father died when he was only 17 years old. Eric shared a very close bond with his father and his sudden death came as a shock to him. the lines are taken from the poem where an angel used to protect a child, however, when he realizes that he is reaching old age, he tells the child to take his life independently and confidently from there. It was his first tattoo.
“it’s about this angel carrying a kid, and then he gets to a point where he comes of age, and basically tells the kid he has to move on. and he always stayed with me, because I felt like up until the moment he died, he was kind of… a guide, for lack of a better word… but he really just controlled every part of my life, in reality. once he was gone, I had to grow up, really fast.”
“I really didn’t know how to feel,” she explains. “Obviously I missed him to a degree, but I didn’t want him back. I was glad it wasn’t there anymore. And I wouldn’t change that at all, because if it didn’t happen, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now.”
